What age can my child attend?

We serve children 3-5 years old. Your child needs to be 3 by October 15th of that school year in order to attend.

How much does it cost for my child to attend?

4 days/week $600/month
3 days/week $475/month
2 days/week $350/month

There is a one time enrollment fee every year of $100 due by March 1st to hold your spot for the upcoming school year. This is non-refundable.

Tuition is due at the beginning of each month

How do I enroll my child?

Enrollment starts with a phone call for us to learn more about your child. We will then invite you and your child in for a visit to the classroom. Once that visit is complete we will decide if Pied Piper is the right fit for your child and your family. If our program is full when you visit, you will be placed on our wait-list and contacted in the order in which you are on the list.

What is communication like?

I will send out a newsletter at the beginning of each month with updates/plans for the month.  I'll send out an email every other week with photos/updates about our week so you can see what we've been up to!  During the school day I will have my phone on in case you need to contact me with changes in dismissal plans etc.  I also will send you text/photo updates throughout the day if you are worried about your child (I know some days are harder than others and a little reassurance goes a long way!). Please don’t hesitate to call, email or text if you ever have any questions at all.

Also, if there is ever any information that you feel you need to share with us, please do!  Whether your child had a rough morning, didn't sleep great or had the wrong color cup at breakfast-we want to know!  The more information we have about your child, the better, so we can meet their needs and know whether to give some extra love or some extra space :)

Does my child need to be fully potty trained?

No, your child does not have to be fully potty trained, however, they must be at least on their way/in the process of being able to use the toilet. We will help remind your child to try to use the bathroom during the day and will have group bathroom breaks built into our day. If your child is not fully potty-trained, please have them in pull-ups rather than diapers. It is required to provide your child’s own pull-ups/wipes for changes throughout the day.

What else do you offer?

I am very excited to share that we will be partnering with Julie Campilio of Roots Up for the 25’/26’ school year! She will visit us for a Soothe and Move class once a week. This is a class that teaches emotional regulation tools to help our bodies stay calm and guidance on how to navigate big emotions. It is a fun and engaging class that uses movement and breath work to self-regulate. Elyse and I will also be implementing these strategies into the classroom on a regular basis. There will be a take-home component so you can practice at home with your child if you choose. (Please check out the partnership information tab that explains what Julie will provide!)

We will have music class twice a month with Miss Ellie of Little Music Maker.  She is wonderful at incorporating music and movement together in a fun way with props and instruments.

What does outside time look like?

We will try to be outside as much as possible!  Both drop off and pick up will be done outside (weather dependent). Please provide a change of clothes in case we get muddy or wet!

How long has Pied Piper been open?

Pied Piper Nursery School was founded in 1972 by Betty Hart, who believed in learning through play. Now owned by Carolyn Freeman, the school continues Betty’s legacy by nurturing creativity, confidence, and growth in a warm, engaging environment.
